Weathercoat GP is a high quality, versatile, permanent waterproofing system for roofs, facades, wet rooms and water retaining structures. The system will adhere to new and old surfaces of precast & in-situ concrete. Weathercoat GP has long-life flexibility and is ideally suited for use in areas with extreme climatic conditions. It is applied by brush or spray and after drying can be walked upon uncovered. After application the Weathercoat GP system has high resistance to atmospheric pollution and UV light. PROPERTIES Weathercoat GP is supplied as a two component, powder (cement based) and resin (acrylic based) system, to be mixed on site. Different mixing ratios will produce compounds of different degrees of flexibility, suitable for different purposes. 1. Permanent waterproofing 2. Abrasion resistant 3. AREA OF USE For waterproofing most building surfaces e.g. roofs, facades, foundations, retaining walls, swimming pools, planters, wet room floors, water tanks, etc.
PREPARATION OF SURFACE Ensure all dirt and foreign matter is cleaned off the areas to be coated. Remove any ridges or form oil. Dusty or flaking surfaces must be cleaned thoroughly, then primed with Penetrating Primer Clear or Terrabond A (diluted1:3 with water).
APPLICATION CONDITIONS & PROCEDURE Application Condition: For application of Weathercoat GP, optimum application temperature is between 10 – 30º C. Do not apply below 5º C or if lower temperatures are expected within the following 24 hours after application. Do not apply on frozen surfaces. Do not apply if the rain is expected within 24 hours of application. Application Procedure: Mix the components in the ratios shown in the table below. Add powder to resin and use a high speed mixer or power agitator until the mix is homogenous. Apply using brush, roller or spray. Leave minimum 12 hours between coats for drying at 20ºC. Mixed Weathercoat GP must be used within 1 hour of mixing (do not re-temper with additional water).
